Questions parents ask us

My wound is small. Can I wait a few days?

No. In diabetes even small wounds can worsen quickly. Same-day assessment is the safest choice.

Will I need to be admitted?

Most ulcers are treated as an outpatient with regular dressing visits. Admission is needed only for severe infection or surgery.

How long does an ulcer take to heal?

Typically 4–12 weeks with proper offloading, sugar control and wound care. Deeper or infected ulcers take longer.

Do you accept insurance?

Consultations are self-pay; surgical procedures through partner hospitals can be cashless with most insurers. Documentation is provided for reimbursement.
